"Excellent Pack and Setup. I have been using a Military Backpack for about 3 months now and had roughly 48lbs of Brick Pavers in it. Walking about 2-3 miles about 3 times a week. What a blessing to now have a Backpack that's not only Comfortable but easy on my back and I'm able to walk fast and long with it on. Thank You So Much!!"
"I originally wanted to stay away from the GoRuck hype , but let me tell you , this bag is awesome. I commute into DC daily for work, and with the ten pound plate and my work gear , I’m sitting right at 30 pounds. The bag feels good against my body, is tough for the train commute, and effectively stores laptop, gear, snacks , lunch, water, documents , and a change of clothes and deodorant for a dude just trying to get his ruck on."
"I’ve only had it out once so far due to weather in Northern California, but first impressions matter, and this thing delivers. Storage and layout are what stood out immediately. I run my packs with purpose—radios, medical, food, and mission-essential gear—so organization isn’t optional. This Long-Range pack is built with that in mind. Everything has a place, and it’s laid out in a way that actually makes sense. Build quality is exactly what you’d expect. Durable, well-constructed, and clearly designed for real use, not just looks. For context, I’ve spent 20 years with a large California fire agency and 10 years working as a SWAT paramedic. I depend on my gear in environments where failure isn’t acceptable. I’m selective about what I use, and this pack meets the standard. I’ll be putting it through real use, but based on what I’ve seen so far, I’ll be buying more for my family. Good work and thank you for everything you guys do."
"Loving getting started with my Long Range Rucker! The fit is perfect, and the build quality is very rugged. I've added an optional hip belt and rain fly as I'm using it to train up for a 72-mile section backpacking trip this spring. I currently have the 10- and 20-lb standard plate and the 30-lb long plate, but may add the 45-lb long and 30-lb standard. My backpack will be at around 44 lbs base weight with about another 20 lbs of consumables for the hike."

"The Long Range Rucker was my first Ruck! It now belongs to my son. It isn't always adventure mode (He went to Ecuador with it a few years ago) - he and I have used it on travel in the states as well. It's a great all-around bag. Packs plenty for a week on the road (or off it). YES. It CAN fit under the seat in front of you on most US airlines. (I fly Southwest most commonly stateside). The LRR sticks out some - so if you like exit rows - savvy attendants may ask you to place it in overhead bins. Compared to others for travel: I had been using an M23 (26L). My next trips will be using my recently acquired GR2 (34L). My first impression of the GR2 is that it is very similar to the LRR with some important distinctions: - The LRR - has some challenges if you have a laptop to travel with that requires accessibility in flight or on the go. Since you would have to put the laptop in the weight plate holders, the practical consequence of this is that you have to unpack your bag to get the laptop out. (not a big deal until you need to whip out your computer for some fast work). Considering the LRR is NOT aimed at business travel - it's just worth noting if this is something you intend to do with it. I am in software. . . and I need ready access for a laptop when I travel. - The LRR doesn't have a stash pocket. (again- not trying to be a travel bag per-se - so quick access items are again not the goal of the LRR) - The LRR has those solid side handles - as any good ruck MUST! (I find myself ALWAYS wanting side handles on any of my bags travel or otherwise. ) Bottom line - this bag CAN do it ALL and is a great first Ruck if you don't have a budget for multiple bags with more specialized purposes. Capacity is GREAT."
"This thing is huge! I bought it because of the sale price and now am considering using it as a travel bag. Looks and feels as solid as everything GR makes and a quick test/fitting with 30lbs felt great. Another awesome bag"
"Needs to be deeper to put a gallon water bottle in there. Also would be nice to adjust the straps easier. It was like Fort Knox trying to get the chest strap moved. Otherwise solid materials."
