BORN TO RUCK

Rucking is proven to burn fat, build muscle, strengthen bones, and improve posture. Humans specifically evolved to carry heavy things. You are quite literally designed for it (and the benefits reflect that).

Hydration Ready

The Basic Rucker® features an elastic side pocket designed to fit slim water bottles. On longer rucks, you can clip your hydration bladder to the internal D-ring and use the hydration port for extra water, meaning you can go farther and recover better.

TESTED + PROVEN

The GORUCK Challenge was born in 2010 to serve as the proving grounds for our rucksacks before it went to war. Thousands of events later, we still hold all our gear to the same standards. The world’s toughest quality control program is a part of our DNA and informs every design choice.

SCARS LIFETIME GUARANTEE

We back all our gear for life. Buy once, and you’re set. We build our bags with military-grade materials so they can take a beating — and if it ever fails, we’ll fix it or replace it right here in the USA at our Jacksonville Beach Headquarters. No fine print, no BS. That’s the GORUCK Scars Lifetime Guarantee.

Amazing product Amazing company

"Perfect for what I need for my wife and son who is 6 and wanted his own ruck like dad. I own 2 Rucker 4. 0 also not to mention rucking shoes and boots from you guys and all are amazing keep up the fantastic work I’ll be a life long customer. I got a small group together in my neighborhood and recommend these to several ppl"

Robust

Awsome bag

"I find it perfect for my introduction tonrucking. It is very confortable! Sometimes I use it as my EDC as material and design is so nice, it is too bad it has no pockets or organization for my daily carry."

Sava V. (5/5)

Basic Rucker.

"Love my new basic Rucker, I’ve the Rucker 4. 0 with a 30lb plate in, pain to put it in and out, for daily use. So The basic Rucker is my new daily pack with a 10lb weight in, and my 4. 0 pack for my heavier rucks. Perfect fit and perfect for daily use. Love and highly recommend it. 👊👍"

Great basic bag

"Exactly as expected, minimally bag with good fit and materials. Solid ruck plate pocket. Just big enough for extras, works as a gym bag/ swim bag for me. Fits a full sized beach towel, suit or change of clothes. Will hold rain gear, snacks, hydration bladder +. On par quality to the full sized gr1."

Good, could’ve been great!

"Service is always great from Go-Ruck. And the Basic Rucker is overall pretty good quality. Nice pack. Especially at the recent sale price. But it could’ve been fantastic. It’s missing wider straps. And needs a bigger water bottle pocket & other side pocket. They’re so narrow, they’re almost annoyingly small. A missed opportunity"

Perfect

"This Basic Rucker is perfect ! I have the Ruck GR1 but wanted something smaller for everyday rucks with the dog. The Basic Rucker is great for shorter distances that don’t require extra stuff . It fits my frame better as well. I’m 5’4” 104lbs. I love the ease of keeping stuff in an accessible side pocket. I like the built in reflector on the back. I love the easy to adjust very comfortable shoulder straps. The plate pocket sits high and tight to my back- it holds my 30lb plate just as well as the two 10 pound plates that came with this purchase! The price can’t be beat! The quality is top notch and it looks great ! My GR 1 is still my Go-To if I am going long distance. I am extremely happy with my purchase!"

Impressed Newbie

"I was impressed with the construction of this pack and the ease putting the weights in. I never owned a ruck sack or anything similar. The shoulder straps are comfortable to wear even when carrying weight. I can't wait to go on longer rucks with this pack!"

Heather S. (5/5)

Great bag, fantastic quality.

"I’m honestly surprised (though I know I shouldn’t be) at how fantastic the build quality is. I’ve only used the bag for a week but am noticing differences in posture. I also have been using this to help with a knee that needs more stability and I can tell that progress is being made on that front too. The best part is this bag can go with me to the store or around town and get some extra work in."

Joshua M. (5/5)

Excellent light well designed bag.

"I was supporting crew and Camper driver, for my Brother in law, (Tachtical Athlete) on his 1000 mile Ruck, lands end to Jon o groats, and he inspired me to start rucking, I was using his old bag, but thought i would get a black one, as I wasn’t military. Great bag."
