Il tessuto distanziatore è morbido, soffice e si sente a proprio agio quando lo si tocca. Ma è una trappola, letteralmente. Al primo contatto con l'acqua, le scarpe si appesantiscono e rimangono tali. Per questo motivo siamo orgogliosi di non utilizzare la rete distanziatrice, fine della storia.
I comodi rinforzi in schiuma PU bloccano il tallone per evitare scivolamenti e movimenti eccessivi intorno alla caviglia. In questo modo è possibile fissare il tallone nella scarpa senza dover ricorrere a una chiusura a laccio o a un'allacciatura troppo stretta.
Ancora il piede con un contrafforte del tallone di sostegno, stampato a iniezione, che stabilizza il tallone quando ci si muove con slancio.
3mm rispetto ai 5mm standard, proprio come il MACV-2™. I detriti e il fango non si accumulano sui lacci da 3 mm come sui 5 mm, i 3 mm si sciacquano e si asciugano più rapidamente e sono più veloci da allacciare perché meno ingombranti.

"Within minutes of opening the box, my new Mackalls were on the trail for 10K. Perfect fit - Ghillie lacing is superior. The grey color is also perfect, not too dark and concealing ticks. Not too light collecting stains. Good traction, even on slippery wet wood."

While I think my feet are the problem and I will need something else long-term, these shoes hit the mark for fit, finish, and utility. They are stable under a barbell (225lbs) and comfortable under long farmers carries (120lbs/200m). They are responsive enough to get the job done for sprints and slow jogs. "Its a well made shoe for sure. The fit is great. The weird heel support pads make my foot move up and down though and my socks get pulled down. I dont think that I'll be putting many miles on in these. It seems like i would get hot spots on my Achilles tendon. Comfortable for wearing around the house though."
