This was a PRO upgrade

"Wow. Compared to my starter ruck vest, the curved and cutout plates do two MAJOR things. They take a significant amount of weight off of my traps/shoulders. Also, several miles into a hard ruck, they allow me to take a DEEP breath compared to flat weights. I cannot notice any shifting of the weights, and it holds snuggly to my upper body when walking. The "30lb" weights are actually 28. 4lbs because of the conversion to Lbs from Kgs. I wish they had heavier curved plates, but the vest is a worthy investment either way."

New plate design is great!

"As a longtime GORUCK user (and fan) - sandbag kit, plate holder, ruck, and vest - I initially got my vest with lighter weights for doing this year's Murph (and will use that set up). Training progressed well (I'm just back from a successful Everest Base Camp Expedition), and to keep up that level, I decided to get the 30# weights. They are great! I do hill repeats with my 40# bag (varying holds on left/tight/both shoulders) and it makes for a great routine. I'm excited to mix things up even more this summer. Thanks folks!"

GoRuckRocks

"I’ve worn it starting with the lowest weight every day at work for a week. Then added the next 6. 25lb weight for the last week. So far it’s very comfortable. I’m glad I found your product. My shoulders do get a bit sore from the straps, but I chalk that up to wearing it all day instead of for a workout. I also use the heavier weights when I’m just going for a 20 minute walk. A big plus for me is, “it’s made in America!” Thanks GoRuck for a well made well thought out weight vest."

Breating made easy

"The curved ruck plates are genuinely something special. Unlike standard plates on the market, they’re clearly designed with comfort, balance, and performance in mind. The curved shape sits much more naturally against the body, which makes a huge difference during longer workouts and rucks. They feel more ergonomic, more stable, and far less awkward than traditional flat plates. It’s a standout design that separates them from anything else I’ve used."

Decent Purchase

"Overall pleased with purchase. Given this is a veteran-owned company, I was surprised the weighted vests don't go to 35 lb, since that was the standard for a typical ruck in Army. The vest seems very durable, velcro seems solid and won't wear out easily, and I like that the vest fits nice and snug on your body so for example when running it doesn't bounce around a lot."

Awesome new design

"Been looking at a weight vest for a while now. Nothing but good things to say about every other goruck product I own and this vest is right on par with all of those. The new plate design feels great and the vest itself is way comfier than others I’ve worn thanks to the thicker shoulder straps. Looking forward to putting some miles down in this thing and increasing the challenge of my home workouts with an additional 30lbs."

Really like these. I tried

"Really like these. I tried a vest before I bought a GoRuck Pack, and ended up giving the vest to a friend. I saw the new curved weights and bought them and a GoRuck vest. Makes my morning walk more challenging but enjoyable and so easy to breathe. I still ruck with the pack but I love to throw the vest on for a quick stroll."

As of now I’ve only

"As of now I’ve only used it during at home workouts and it’s doing well. I’ll be running a MURPH this Memorial Day and will definitely suffer in it."

The fit is wild.

"These fit the weight vest perfectly and honestly I didn't expect the open style to do much for me in terms of not restricting the diaphram but it actually does. Great design and loving them so far."

Like it’s not there.

"The plates combined with the vest are so good that I don’t notice anything about them while they are on. I don’t notice an improvement or decline in breathing or range of motion. It fastens and fits so will there is no movement outside of what my body normally does during a workout. The most you can want from a weighted vest is to not notice anything about it while it’s on."
