Great way to improve loading
"I had the old sternum strap on a GR1. It was narrower and I broke the clip. This new one is bigger. Increased from about a half inch to about 3/4 of an inch strap. Probably because the smaller ones broke after years of abuse. It will probably take a few uses and washes to soften up and become the one I will miss when it gets upgraded next time."

Built like a tank
"I have 4 backpacks now and all 4 of them have this strap. It’s not fun to put on or take off which is to say, they will not break or come loose. I never have had them slip or had to readjust. It’s a great accessory to keep the load in place. Excellent quality!"

The Training Sternum Strap is
"The Training Sternum Strap is the icing on the cake! It adds stability to an already great rucksack! Comfortable and easy to install and for $10 you can’t go wrong!"

Ok, not grat
"I'm a 42-44 regular blazer wearer, the strap barely closes at its longest. However, it does help relieve my shoulders for a bit"

Sternum strap made wrong
"The sternum strap I bought extra was made backwards. It’s hard to explain but to hook it onto the strap you have to flip it around, but then the clasp is against my chest"

Very rugged and strong strap
"Very rugged and strong strap that works very well. Were it not for the shipping costs, it would also be a great value."

Must have
"It was a must have missing on my GR1 when I bought it. Now installed and make the bag much more confortable with heavy load. Should be a standard item on all GR1s"

Two is one, none is none.
"Sadly these can and will break under constant use. If you have a long event coming up, buy an extra in stick it in your ruck. If it fails, you can switch it out. It's happened to me on an event and then when I was using my GR0 for daily commute."
