      Tiger Stripe Camo

The Tiger Stripe Camo name comes from its resemblance to stripes on big jungle cats. Unlike other camouflage patterns, tiger stripe camouflage is not really one specific pattern, it is actually a blend of the camouflage pattern of the British Parachutists Denison smock from World War II and French lizard patterns in use with the French Foriegn Legion in Indochina, with the first sets made in the late ’50s for the Vietnamese Marine Corps.

Items with the Tiger Stripe Camo pattern were meant for use in the jungle terrain of Africa and Indochina; it featured narrower stripes than the British camouflage, which was widely developed for use in the wooded terrain of Europe.
