Hydration Ready

The Basic Rucker® features an elastic side pocket designed to fit slim water bottles. On longer rucks, you can clip your hydration bladder to the internal D-ring and use the hydration port for extra water, meaning you can go farther and recover better.

"Basic Rucker is not basic. Great quality in material and build that held up in over 50 miles of rucking in just neighborhood walks. Added a water bladder where the basic Rucker has an opening for the hose to pull through for longer rucks. Backpack straps are strong, sturdy and make you develop tough skin to hold up the weight. The weight is snug in the built in pocket and I have never had to adjust it or felt it move as I ruck. Good stuff and if you are a beginner this is a great product to start."

Great quality ruck!

"Works great the pack stays close on your back so you don't have any weird shoulder or back issues on longer rucks. I've put about 50 miles on it so far, only issue I've had is for me the left strap has been digging so hard into my arm that it starts to go numb. I've loosened it a bit but still needs more adjustment. Either way great purchase super durable and I can pull a weight out if my wife wants to use it."

Easy adjunct to add something to routine walking

"Bought the Basic Rucker and the deal came with two plates. I wanted something that would make my 30 minute walk every morning I do mainly as a chore to get a couple miles in walking the dog into a more productive use of time. It seems to be doing that. Increasing heart rates up a bit and adding just a little extra strain on my postural muscles. It’s now become just a part of the day and will be indefinitely."

Great for mid-workday exercise

"I use the 20lb Basic Rucker during my 2mi mid-day walks at work. It makes me work harder and doesn’t draw excessive attention (I won’t use a weighted vest on my work campus, because it can be mistaken for body armor). I have a lot of backpacks, including the GR1, and the Basic Rucker is really well sewn, matching any of my more expensive packs. It also serves as a functional “personal item” on flights that strictly monitor carry-on sizes—I took it on a trip through Incheon, but of course, don’t expect to fit a ton of stuff inside."
