Zero Abrasion on Fabric & Skin

It has taken us years to find a way to make the best rucksacks of all time even better. We added all-new 210D HT (High Tenacity) CORDURA® on the back panel and underside of the shoulder straps that doesn't irritate skin or chew up apparel (looking at you, merino wool).

QUICK ACCESS STASH POCKET

Padded Handles and Straps

Padded top handle and 2 padded side handles, perfect for carrying through the airport or pulling out of the overhead bin. Or wear on your back to carry heavier loads more comfortably.

Compression Straps

2 compression straps on each side allows you to pack the bag full of gear, then cinch the straps down and keep the ruck closer to your back.

GR3 EXPLAINED

It's Big and Tough.

The goal was pretty simple, as goals are. Build a travel ruck that would thrive in Baghdad, NYC, and the mountains of Afghanistan. Or any mountains for that matter.

Reviews

Very happy with my Goruck.

"This is the best backpack I ever have owned. Very robust and straightforward design. The Quality is on an other level. Very comfortable to wear too. The padding is great. No abrasions. My GR3 35 L is a loyal travel buddy by know. The clamshell opening in combination with travelcubes make packing a breeze. Very very satisfied."

Sehr robuster Rucksack

"Ein sehr robuster Rucksack, der viel aushält. Er ist kein Leichtgewicht und der Preis auch nicht. Trotzdem würde ich den Rucksack empfehlen!"

New GR3

"I am still trying to decide whether to keep the bag, because I may need a hip belt. That said, the quality of the construction, simplicity of the organization, very sturdy lap top compartment, and available packing space are all just what I was looking for."

Thomas M. (4/5)

Would buy a second one.

"I just recently put to use my GR3 both for short travel and for an unexpected use as a gear bag carrying my electronics, mics and cables to play a show as a drummer. Along with pockets and pouches it all went great. Those 45 L sure go fast and the bag fills up quick. Additional capacity would be appreciated in a larger version."

Great Bag. Needs a Redesign.

"1. Velcro inside grabs pet hair and lint like crazy. Prefer the Pocket and Molle like other GRs 2. Side buckles are tight and fussy. Otherwise this is the perfect bag!"

GR3

"Just took a week long trip and this was a perfect fit for one bag travel. Solidly made like all GoRuck bags! Especially like the top pocket for tucking keys, wallet and phone when going thru TSA security. I also have a Rucker 4. 0 for the last 2-1/2 years which I use constistently and shows no wear. Expecting the same from this bag!"

"Love this pack , it’s what I expected and more !! Tough as nails and can wait to put some miles on it."

Good for life!

"A perfect travel match with my GR1. No surprises, nothing fancy, just superior craftsmanship and good for life."

GR3 45L Perfect for business trips

"Hi. This is a great backpack for business trips and travel. I'm not a big fan of traveling with a suitcase, so this backpack is a great alternative: it combines space, comfort and quality. My only gripe is the new zippers on the laptop and glasses compartments—the old ones were better quality and more reliable (AquaGuard zippers do not seem to be very reliable). And one more thing - I like that the strap attachment at the bottom was shifted towards the edges of the backpack."

Chingiz Z. (5/5)

GR3 45L for business trip and travel

"Hi. I don't really like traveling with a suitcase, so I chose this backpack because it's great size, quality, and reliability. It's OK with that. The only thing that bugs me is the patch slot, which is offset by 1. 5 inches."

Q&A

Could this pair well with Goruck plating? I'd like to use as a multi-purpose bag.
While the GR3 was not specifically designed for use with plates, the Ruck Plates will fit in the GR3
I'm looking for a laptop case and I wondered if the laptop compartment was able to stretch a bit in the width.
The laptop compartment width is set by the zippers on both sides and generally won't stretch.
Hi, how good would this be for a everyday backpack? I am 6 2" / 188cm.
The GR1 26L would generally be better for EDC. The GR3 is intended for longer trips and hiking.
What is the material it's made out of? 1000D Cordura? Thanks!
Yes, 1000D Cordura
