Best boots ever
"I never write reviews, but I just received my second pair of these after 2. 5 years of wearing my old pair. After wearing them every day on flightline aprons as a mechanic, and through 2 deployments, they still have the original laces, and the soles never wore through. I’ve gone through many other brands a lot quicker, these were the first boots I ever bought a 2nd pair in a row of. I will always be a go-ruck supporter."

Nice daily drivers
"Fit well, comfortable, good ankle support and stable. Nice to have a lightweight ankle high boot that isn't black. Only improvement I'd like would be nylon tape finger loops for easier donning. Have a few eyelets that pop loose for some reason and can be popped back. As usual, no issues ordering, quick shipping and tracking worked."

Loyal customer.
"This is my third pair. I work security so lots of walking and occasional explosive movement. I wore the last pair smooth. Everything else about the boot was good. Those lasted me four years. Expecting the same with these. For them during the 4th promotion. Great value at the sale price. Design has slight changes. They look great. Feel great right out of the box. Love these boots."

Great boots but one suggestion to make them awesome
"Great lightweight boots for hiking, rucking and upcoming survival training classes. Appreciate the extra support in the MACV2. One suggestion for making the boot easier to get on: add a pull tab at the back of the shoe top."

Almost Perfect
"Great light to moderate terrain hiking boot. Good thick leather. Comparable in weight and quality to similar boots like Danner hikers. Good venting and draining hole. The tread is actually a huge leap forward from the MACV1 and is more like a light hiker or trail shoe in traction. Biggest problem is the cotton lining. At some points in the boot there is 2-4 layers of cotton liner. I ripped it out when it started to wear out. This makes the boot better and more like the HiSpeed or SOPC mod combat boot. Once modified these boots breath better and dry out better!"

Comfy and supportive
"I bought these based on the recommendation from a friend (also a member of the military) and these are light, supportive and comfortable! I'm still breaking them in, but am ready to do my bi-weekly 7 mile hike up the canyon this week and looking forward to it."

Worst Boots I've Ever Had
"Get your attention? Decades ago I bought the (cheapest) worst pair of work boots I've ever had and subsequently developed plantar fascitis. I've always had to get expensive shoes and inserts. UNTIL NOW I researched these boots due to my foot issue and decided to give them a go. As long as GoRuck keeps them I will use them. I use these boots on 12 hour duty days, for training, for operations and hiking. I DO NOT need inserts with these and I have yet to have any pain in my feet or heels at all. My first pair are over 2 years old and somewhat worn but still work great for rucking and training. They fit true to size and GoRuck Marino Wool socks work great in them. There have been only two extremely low negatives. First. My first pair I had to replace the laces within a few months. My most recent pair the laces are still going strong after 6 months. Second, the tag on the tongue starts to fray pretty quickly but a butane lighter fixes that as expected. GoRuck has done an outstanding job in the development and testing of these boots and far exceed the performance of the excessively priced name brand, cool guy boots. And this applies to all their shoes. I have rough runners (very sad they're going away), Ballistic Trainers, and MACVII High Top coyote Brown for military use."

Awesome experience in Alaska
"Bought these to wear at Bear Photography Camp in Katmai National Park in Alaska. Weather: 1 day sunny and 65 degrees - rest of the days rain, overcast, fog and 38 degrees. Took them through sea water (dropped off by float plane), sand (bears clamming on the beach), mud, muck, crossed rivers and streams and lying on the marsh photographing bears. Note: river crossings were only 3-4 feet due to crossing during low tides. These boots held up GREAT in all these conditions - a little slippery in mud but what isn't. No pain in my feet from walking 5-6 miles per day thru all these conditions. I wore waders with these and wish I would've ordered up another size but that is because of the waders not the boots - other than that I feel they are true to size. Only complaint: Wish the insoles were made for more wet conditions - the boots drained great but wish the insoles had a perforated bottom to drain water better and dry quicker."
