Ideal Rucking Compensar

Reviews

Built like a tank, handles like an SUV !!

"The shoe feels heavy in the box (not as heavy as the now discontinued Running Shoe - total bummer as this is a great shoe too, just not a running shoe) but on the feet feels super comfortable, nice wide toe box. Definitely makes rucking feel easier. No break in required either. Only nit pick is the super long laces, have to tie a double knot."

Much Better Support for Rucking

"Two weeks into rucking in the Mackall and glad I made the switch: I immediately felt the better heel support compared to the running shoes I had been using. The size 13 runs slightly large on me which is very comfortable and makes it easier to wear thicker socks. No break-in period was required and the cushioning feels secure on asphalt, concrete, and rough terrain. More of a review after I have worn through this pair :)"

Christian F. (5/5)

Very tough and capable.

"The build quality of these is exceptional. Toughest shoes I’ve owned and the support is great. Hold grip way better than tennis shoes. Only issue I have is they are too long and I’d like them to grip my heels a little better. The width is great. I want to try a size down but am worried these will then be too small."

Joseph S. (4/5)

Outstanding rucking shoe

"Very impressed so far. Fit and comfort are great. My new ruck shoe for certain. They look cool as well. My wife who is typically annoyed with my clothing choices (too much former Army dude stuff) said they were very cool! That’s a huge compliment. Thank you. Have a good one."

Eric K. (5/5)

Durable AF

"Durable shoes and they dry out as fast as advertised. Got my first pair 2 years and 2 months ago and the soles are just barely starting to wear. I also broke the original laces about 3 months ago. Other than that, they're holding up great. When I saw them on sale for Independence Day I sprung for a second pair!"

Karl H. (5/5)

I had size 11. 5 in

"I had size 11. 5 in these shoes and they were a little too large, causing my toes to smash into the toebox. I replaced them with the better fitting size 11 and they feel great. I just took advantage of the sale to get a 2nd pair of 11's to keep me going for many miles. Thanks GoRuck!"

Steven I. (5/5)

Better than any normal trail shoe.

"Very solid shoe, especially the sole. Broke them in with a 12 mile ruck in miserable Florida. My feet have been soaked with “waterproof” hiking shoes, but these kept everything aired out and stopped me from changing socks. I’ve had to change the lacing pattern because the laces felt like they were biting into the top of my foot, but besides that they are great. Very easy to clean as well."

Kevin S. (4/5)

Daily wear for daily work

"I have worn these shoes daily for three years in my work in pest control. I am routinely walking 15,000 steps or more a day with up to 40lbs sprayer backpack (about half the time) in grass, landscaping rocks, up and down apartment stairs. I love getting a new pair, but hate getting them dirty, but love how they hold up to daily use. Supportive, protective, handsome. These shoes are like your favorite dad, only they don’t wear old spice deodorant."

Jesse (5/5)

Outstanding Quality and Will Last for Years

"This is hands-down the best quality shoe I’ve ever owned. I bought my first pair of Blue Mackalls in 2022 and was immediately impressed by the materials and build. The soles are outstanding and the fit was perfect right out of the box. The subtle color makes them versatile for almost any occasion. Four years later, these are still my favorite shoes. I wash them in the machine about every other month, and they always come out looking brand new. I’m also amazed that they don’t develop any odor, even after lots of wear. The insides remain in great shape with no holes or worn spots, which is never the case with any of my other shoes. I also wanted to mention that I walk with my feet pointed outward and this causes the outer heels to wear quickly. As you can see from the pictures, the soles have held up with minimal wear. I don’t own a lot of shoes but I do have three pairs of Mackalls because they are absolutely worth the price. For durability, comfort, and style, these are a 5/5. Highly recommend!"

Daniel T. (5/5)

Durable, in it for the long haul!

"I’m 6’, 225lbs and ruck with either my 26L OG Java GR1 or plate carrier almost every day with 20-50lbs, I’ve put 2500+ miles on my Mackall’s over the past few years, unfortunately they don’t last forever, so I had to buy another pair. Here’s to another 2500 miles!"
